UNESCO heritage

Salzburg´s baroque downtown with its numerous sights is situated only 10 driving minute away from the Aniferhof.

It is also registered on the world cultural heritage list of the UNESCO. Salzburg lies pictureque between the 542 m high mountain "Mönchsberg" and the 638 m high mountain "Kapuzinerberg" on the other side.

On top of the Mönchsberg the Castel "Festung Hohensalzburg" is located. It is the town´s landmark and has not been overcome during its 1000-year-history. Therefore this huge and impressive building is the largest fully maintained Castle in central Europe.

A further grandiose building of Salzburg´s downtown is the cathedral. The largest church in town is a formidable building in the style of the early baroque.

Other sights are the chateau "Schloss Mirabell" and the world-famous "Getreidegasse" which is a shopping street in Salzburg.
